Return & Refund Policy

Our commitment to customer satisfaction is reflected in our Return & Refund Policy. Please take a moment to review the following information, as it outlines our process for returns and refunds.
Initiating a Return
If you wish to initiate a return, kindly reach out to us at info@shop-solar.co.za. Our dedicated team will guide you through the process. Most of our products are eligible for returns within 30 days of purchase. To qualify for a return, please ensure that the product is in its original condition, with all accessories and manuals included, and in its original packaging.
Proof of Purchase and Inspection
To process your return or refund, proof of purchase is required. Our technical department will inspect the returned goods to determine if there are any signs of tampering. If tampering is detected, the warranty will be voided, and we will be unable to issue a refund or accept the return.
Return Criteria
To qualify for a return, the following criteria must be met:
- The item must be unused and in the same condition as when you received it.
- The item must be returned in its original packaging.
- All accessories and manuals must be included.
Damaged Goods
If you receive damaged goods, please notify us within 24 hours of receipt. Failure to do so may result in the goods falling under warranty coverage.
Shipping Costs
You are responsible for the shipping costs when returning an item. These shipping costs are non-refundable. In the event of a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from the refund amount.
Cancellation Fee
If you choose to cancel your order after 48 hours, a 10% administration fee will be applied. Additionally, if the supplier has already shipped your order, you will be responsible for the return shipping charges, as well as a 15% restocking fee.
Exchange Timeline
The timeline for receiving your exchanged product may vary depending on your location. On average, it may take between 7 to 10 working days for the exchanged product to reach you.
Refund Eligibility
- Regular-Priced Items: Refunds are offered for regular-priced items within 30 days of purchase, provided they are in original condition and packaging.
- Sale Items: Unfortunately, sale items are not eligible for refunds.Â
Formal Quotations and Online Orders
When a formal quotation is sent or an online order is placed, you will receive an order confirmation that includes the product description, price, and SKU. By making payment after receiving this order confirmation, you confirm that the items listed are correct.
You have 48 hours from receipt of the item to notify us if the product ordered was incorrect. After this 48-hour period, we cannot issue a refund or exchange if incorrect items were ordered and delivered.
Incorrect Orders and Notifications
We cannot accommodate requests for refunds or exchanges if the notification is made after the product has been used or kept beyond the initial 48-hour period. It is crucial to verify the details of your order upon receipt. If the wrong product or size was ordered, and you notify us within the specified 48-hour period, we will work with you to resolve the issue.
Inspection and Notification
Once we receive your returned item, our technical department will inspect it thoroughly. We will then notify you via email regarding the approval or rejection of your refund request.
Delivery Receipt and Carrier Damage
If there is any discrepancy in your order, please make a note of it on the delivery receipt and inform the driver immediately. Failing to note any damage may prevent the carrier from honoring any damage claim.
Manufacturer Return Policy
Due to the sensitive nature of the equipment we distribute, we are unable to accept returns for the following products once removed from their original packaging: Lithium-Ion Batteries and solar panels. However, exceptions can be made in cases of an error on our part, carrier damage, a defective product, an incorrect product, or the receipt of an extra product that you did not order.
Freight Damages Claim
Before filing a “Freight Damages” claim, please ensure that you have collected the following information:
- Pictures of the damaged packaging and product.
- A copy of the delivery receipt and invoice.
