Freedom Won was officially started in 2010 upon the completion of our first electric vehicle conversion – the now famous electric Jeep Grand Cherokee.
The Jeep served as a test bed for the then relatively unknown, but exceptional, Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) battery technology, that later took the world by storm. Freedom Won placed all bets on this technology in 2009 because of its excellent safety characteristics and long service life. Battery Management System (BMS) technology was also tested and developed in the Jeep from this early stage.
